Steve Jobs WWDC 2008 Keynote address set for June 9

Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday June 9, 2008 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. We do what we do best at every restricted Apple event – LiveBlog! iPhone Buzz will live blog the event at http://live.iphonebuzz.com. By “live blogging the event” we will literally bring you every restricted word that Jobs utter from his mouth in additional to as many pictures and videos we can process and upload during the keynote.

Make certain to set your calendars and multiple alarms (you don’t want to miss that event) considering according to Apple press release, “The keynote showcases two

revolutionary development platforms: Mac OS X Leopard and OS X iPhone, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system.”  Speaking of which, it’s interesting to see that that is the first instance Apple is referring to the iPhone’s OS as “OS X iPhone.” The WWDC event will feature the first ever iPhone track for mobile developers, providing in-depth sessions and hands-on labs to “fully explore the capabilities of the OS X iPhone 2.0 software, including the iPhone SDK and the App Store.”

I along with many of you are keeping our fingers crossed that Jobs will announce the 3G iPhone and perhaps a new “touch tablet” powered by Mac OS X Leapard and OS X iPhone 2.0.
